Typography and book cover design for the fictional book Classics by Edgar Allan Poe, a unique volume of his main works.

Contrary to the traditional design process, the graphic design was thought through a copyright calligraphic typography. The type was developed with the double pencil technique and later built and refined in digital, thus creating a unique and original typeface.

The typeface has contemporary characteristics, but does not lose its traditional calligraphic essence. Likewise, Edgar Allan Poe and his traditional works of Gothic Romanticism are contemporary as references to today’s thrillers. He has created what we know as a horror genre.

The typeface and graphic elements of the book cover work perfectly together for this contemporary reinterpretation of EAP's works.
